A technician can ask to leave a shop team, and an owner or manager can request that a technician be removed. The reason is private to the parties and authorized support staff.
Know who works, what was accepted, and who stands behind it.
Every job should make the provider, service location, approved scope, estimated price, timeline, payment destination, and warranty owner easy to understand before the customer authorizes work.
- 1Provider and business check
Identity, work history, specialties, and relevant business, insurance, license, or certification evidence are reviewed.
- 2Written repair proposal
Scope, estimated price, location, service date, timeline, and the provider's warranty terms stay attached to the job.
- 3Confirmed conversion record
The customer's Hire action records the job trail. During beta, it does not create or collect a platform fee.
- 4Provider-controlled repair payment
The customer pays the technician or shop directly for diagnosis, parts, and labor. OnlyMechanics does not hold repair funds or take a repair-price percentage.
- 5Completion and rating
After service, the customer confirms the work and can leave a verified rating. Optional Wrench Thanks and the planned 85/15 split are coming after secure payments launch.
A shop connection should never become an account trap.
Technicians keep their OnlyMechanics account, profile history, and public work when a shop relationship ends. Shops keep control of their own team roster and company page.
The other side can confirm a clean separation. If either party is unresponsive or alleges abuse, the request can be escalated by email with the case details already attached.
Authorized admins can release, restore, or deny the relationship request. Every override requires a factual note and is written to the audit log.
An Insured badge appears only after current proof is approved. Only Mechanics LLC is the SaaS provider, not the insurer, broker, agent, underwriter, or guarantor. Always verify job-specific coverage directly.
Open forum. Closed door on personal abuse.
OnlyMechanics is built for honest disagreement, garage humor, strong opinions, and the occasional word you would not use at dinner. Moderation focuses on behavior that harms people or makes useful participation unsafe.
